Hit the ground running
The idea of curved treadmills, once solely seen in high performance settings, is slowly becoming normalised throughout commercial gyms.
A standard treadmill essentially has you running on a conveyor belt at a constant speed. It has its place, but it doesn't feel like natural running because you must keep up with the belt as opposed to having to generate your own momentum.
A curved treadmill on the other hand, is designed to more closely mimic a runner's natural movement. Runners can speed themselves up by running higher up on the curve or slow down by pulling back on to the flatter section. The change in momentum as the foot slides down the curve will change the velocity of the belt, altering your speed instantaneously.
There's a few other key differences that make this an overall superior model.
Our Curved Treadmill is motorless which makes for way less maintenance compared to standard electric models, and more portable. Simply pick it up by the handle at the back, and roll it to your desired position.
The running belt is a specifically designed aluminium slat, coated with 9mm thick rubber for the ideal level of shock absorption.
We use a steel frame to keep your Treadmill stable during use, and to prevent warping over time, and we've included over 200 bearings to ensure a smooth and natural feel.

- How does the curved design compare to a motorised straight Treadmill
- The pace feels more organic, as the motor is removed your speed will be controlled by how fast you want to run as opposed to a pre-set number
- Strides will also feel more natural in comparison to a straight design. Running on a curved treadmill is not identical to running on the ground as the brake phase is reduced, but the swing phase is much better replicated compared to a straight design
