The latest addition to the Iron Edge Power Ropes range is the nylon covered 15m ropes.

Why a nylon covering?

  • The nylon covering protects the sisal rope beneath, so it will last longer particularly if the rope is being exposed to the elements with outdoor training
  • The nylon covering prevents the sisal from shedding, great if you want to keep your training space clean
  • The nylon covering adds a bit of weight to the power ropes, making your rope training even more challenging
  • You can get either the 1.5in diameter or the 2 inch diameter Power Ropes with the nylon casing

Power Ropes are a low-skill training tool, so don’t require much technique work, however they are also brilliant for cardiorespiratory conditioning and upper body power endurance.  This makes Power Ropes useful for pretty much anyone, regardless of experience level.

The nylon covering is really just the icing on the cake and means you’ll get more out of your ropes because their life will be prolonged.

Try this simple workout with your nylon covered Power Ropes:

  • 20 double rope waves
  • 5 squats with the ropes over your shoulders (facing away from the anchor point)
  • Repeat for 10 rounds

Or you could give this one a go for something a bit more challenging:

  • Backwards lunge while performing an alternating rope wave, 5 lunges each side
  • 5 squats with the ropes over your shoulders (facing away from the anchor point)
  • 10 burpees
  • Repeat for 8 rounds

Or this one might be more up your alley:

  • 10 rope thrusters (squat facing the anchor point with one end of the rope in each hand at shoulder height, as you stand up from the squat push the rope ends over your head)
  • 10 double rope waves
  • Backwards lunge while performing an alternating rope wave, 8 lunges each side
  • Plank hold 45 sec
  • Repeat for 5 rounds
