Engineered for peak performance, the Iron Edge Elite Dumbbell range is purpose-built to meet the uncompromising demands of commercial gym environments. Constructed from CPU (cast polyurethane), each Dumbbell is directly bonded to the steel handle creating a fixed join that won’t loosen over time, even under relentless use.
CPU is the perfect material for building tough Dumbbells, superior to even the toughest rubber. It won’t tear, mark, mould or abrade. It’s also highly resistant to temperature extremes and odourless.
The handles are unique. The entire length is covered with a special knurl pattern that provides bite, yet doesn’t rip the hands.
The weight numbers are pure Iron Edge. Each Dumbbell features oversized, high-contrast white weight markings for effortless identification, even at a glance. No more flipping Dumbbells around looking for the exact weight.
The Vertical Dumbbell Rack has been designed and engineered in-house at Iron Edge for a space-conscious footprint. The steel rack features high-durability HDPE brackets developed to protect the knurling of the dumbbells. We recommend bolting the Vertical Rack down for superior stability.

- No, these are available in sets only
- What kind of Polyurethane are the Elite Dumbbells made of?
- Polyurethane Dumbbells are made from either Cast Polyurethane (CPU) or Thermoplastic Polyurethane (CPU)
- We use CPU, the higher quality option. Nothing but the best goes in our Elite Dumbbells!
- What's the difference between CPU and TPU?
- Long story short, CPU is higher quality whereas TPU is cheaper
- The process of manufacturing Dumbbells using CPU is more intensive but provides a superior, more consistent product. The Dumbbells will better withstand impact, have a more consistent shape and weight, a smoother finish and a much cleaner odour.
- Do the Hex Heads come in singles or pairs
- Due to the size of the weights, some of these will come boxed as a pair, others as singles. This will be noted in brackets next to each pair
- Paired 40kg Hex Heads would mean an 80kg box, which is no fun for anyone
- What racking works best for the Hex Head Dumbbells
- Our Modular Racking with Flat Heavy Duty Shelves. Choose 877mm Sides for a 3 tier rack, or 1582mm for a 4 tier rack
- For bundles with heavier weights, you may wish to use 3 x shelves with a 1582mm Rack. This enables more space to move the Dumbbells
- Can I get the Elite Dumbbells without shelving
- By request, we can accommodate this
