Brilliant for Split Squats and Nordics
Rehabilitating injuries comes down to developing the affected area’s mobility, stability and strength (on a case by case scenario of course). A common error for athletes is to focus too much or too early on the strength component, leading to a joint that is strong in certain planes or angles but susceptible to moving outside of this area.
The Iron Edge Balance Pad is designed to enhance stability and balance, challenging the proprioception of the body as a unit and developing the intrinsic musculature of the foot and ankle. By gently yielding to your bodyweight, it creates an environment of instability greater than single leg training can provide, but in a more specific manner than a physio ball or Bosu ball.
The Iron Edge Balance Pad is constructed of soft polyurethane. Highly resilient and at 5cm thick, the Iron Edge Balance Pad can also be used as cushioning for Nordic curls and other kneeling exercises.
Used in conjunction with mobilisation exercises and therapies, the Iron Edge Balance Pad allows for a comprehensive and complete rehabilitation program.
Specs:
- Approx. 48.5cm x 39cm x 5cm
- Colour - Black
- Weight <1kg
- Made from soft polyurethane

Roller Pads
Ever on our quest to beef up our racks, may we introduce you to our new Roller Pads.
Deceptively versatile, the Iron Edge Roller Pad is intended with single leg work in mind but can also be used for Nordic hamstring work, hip thrusts and ab work.Â
Single leg training has its purists and its detractors, but when you cut through the dogma (be it from either side of the fence) it’s clear that the majority of athletic movements occur either on one leg or off-balance, and that it pays to train this movement. However, when people forget that developing strength means getting stronger, time spent in the gym becomes time wasted.
If we think of pure strength and pure balance as opposites on a continuum (with say, a powerlifting-style squat on one end and a single leg Bosu squat on the other), we want to train within our relative range that applies to our given sport / task.Â
Our Roller Pad incorporates more balance than a powerlifting-style squat (because who has the time to belt up when on the field or court) and more strength than a single leg Bosu squat (because…well, anything would), bringing your training to that sweet spot of specificity.Â
Specs:
- 540mm overall length
- 415mm pad length
- 15cm pad diameter
- 25.4mm pin diameter
- Compatible with all 26mm diameter holes on all Iron Edge racks

With over 500,000 satisfied customers, Iron Edge is Australia's No.1 high performance strength training brand. We've been fitting out elite high performance gyms for the likes of Collingwood Football Club and the Australian Defence Forces for years. We know what you need and what you don't. Our products are constantly being tried, tested and improved to be the best they can be. And we stand behind them accordingly.
2. Product Range
Iron Edge has one of the biggest ranges of high performance training equipment available in Australia. In all we stock 100’s of different products at our warehouse facility in Melbourne so you'll always be able to get what you want and, most importantly, when you need it. That's why Iron Edge is the choice of Australia's best athletes, coaches and gyms. And why anything else is just compromise.
3. Engineering
At Iron Edge we employ experienced and qualified engineers to design, test and then source the best manufacturers of all our equipment. Up until 2017 we manufactured in-house, but market pressures forced us to move manufacturing overseas. However we weren’t going to compromise on the quality and structural integrity of our products, so after rigorous research, we’ve been able to partner with some of the industry’s best and most experienced equipment manufacturers. In many ways they are more advanced and sophisticated than our in-house work shop, so you can be assured that the quality of all our products meet the same high standards and are worthy of the Iron Edge brand.
4. Expertise
When you promise 'serious training' you have to back it up. Fortunately we do, drawing on our extensive experience dealing with Australia's best coaches, athletes, sports scientists and exercise physiologists. It's enabled Iron Edge to be one of Australia's leading authorities in high performance strength training- and with an educational arm of the business comprised of over ten certified courses launching soon, we plan on increasing the industry standard across the board.
5. No 'BS' Guarantee
We don't just say our products are the best available. We back it up with an industry leading guarantee. That means if your Iron Edge equipment is faulty or fails to deliver on its promise we will replace it. Conditions do apply.
6. TradePass
