Brief

The brief was straightforward. Create a comfortable and versatile lifting space that would be easy to clean and maintain. With a whopping 400 sqm of gym space, the brief emphasised the need for a premium flooring solution that would add a "wow" factor to the open gym space.

Solution

Enter React flooring, Iron Edge's latest innovation of premium rubber flooring with seamless edges. A solution perfect for the brief and a handy EPDM top layer providing a durable and safe surface for workouts.

One of the standout features of the gym is the two 5-cell custom wall-mounted matrix racks located on either side of the gym. The versatility of the matrix configuration provides a range of options for high-intensity workouts and functional fitness training.
The gym has also included wall mounted barbell racks and rack-mounted plate storage to provide a clear and easily accessible storage solution. This allows for quick setup and breakdown of different CrossFit classes, keeping the centre of the gym open and versatile.

As a finishing touch, CrossFit Ocean Grove has added their logos to its floor via the inlay platforms for dedicated deadlifting areas.
The show's star, however, is the hero logo located at the gym entrance. This gives the gym a unique and personalised touch that sets it apart from other fitness facilities.
