Weighted Vest Training

The Weighed Vest is a really simple way to make any exercise more challenging, even going for a walk.  The fact that it can be worn while doing pretty much anything makes it very versatile and the combination of vest and bodyweight alone opens up endless possibilities so it's ideal for those wanting to train at home.

Here is a simple program that is ideal for use with the weighted vest for a comprehensive conditioning workout:

Weighted Vest Push Ups

The weighted vest is a really comfortable way of increasing the difficulty of push ups.  If ordinary push ups with the vest are too easy, have a crack at clap push ups.

Weighted Vest Pull Ups

Again, the weighted vest is a very comfortable way of increasing the difficulty of this exercise.

Weighted Vest Walking Lunges

Another simple bodyweight exercise that can be juiced up with the weight vest.  10kg may not sound like much, but take 100 steps and you'll be feeling it!

Weighted Vest Squat Jumps

These will have your legs on fire, especially after the lunges.  Moving an extra 10kg will help you develop leg power and speed and will have your heart rate through the roof after a few reps.

Weighted Vest Bear Crawls

This is such an underrated exercise and deceptively hard.

Weighted Vest Super Planks

Fantastic core and shoulder exercise, plus great for loosening the hamstrings and the dynamic nature will keep your heart rate up.

Weighted Vest Stair Runs

This is a great finisher, add 5-10 mins of fast stair runs in the vest at the end of your workout.
